I traveled from Suriname to Mexico and Peru as artist in residence. From the interactions I have with others to reinforce communities ‘A manual’ is processing: to create awareness (about our planet) and produce art (that reminds us of how we want to participate) together.

Building 3 similar but different public artworks, to present the pride for our culture to the world, is ‘A focus’. The form of these artworks is similar, but unique regarding to color and material. Every presentation has an own identity, depending on tradition and beliefs of those involved.

The conversations between communities and artists create more consciousness about connection with our planet. Because we ‘just A part’ of the universe’s aura, spirituality should should function as a bridge between the individuality of a community and interaction with other communities. Differences are brought together with respect for one purpose: to honor our planet together, and therefor respect our diversities.
