Ubuntu (2013)

As a humanistic philosophy, this installation (2013) emphasis: “I am because we are.” The artwork relates to a demonstration of Levinas’s (FR) general idea of encountering the Other to let magic happen. In an event of abundant love and compelling contradictions, this manifestation includes clay bricks of EzinomraH and painted handkerchiefs by a group of teens in conversation with paintings by EdKe, depicted as a form of life-like art. This body aims at a framework in which we are beyond the Self and related to the Other, known as Ubuntu: I am another you, and you are another me.
